Nice work, it feels very sharp and dramatic, like it's going to come to life, in spite of being a still image of a dead animal. I like the contrast between the relatively calm appearance of the asphalt and the chaotic surroundings of the corpse; it suggests that without a proper burial, the creature hasn't found a true form of rest. Hell, this would actually make a pretty damn cool album cover for some kind of skull-crushingly heavy metal, come to think of it.

Thanks a lot. I do agree that it does look pretty metal, if not Noise Rock in terms of style. Perhaps in the vein of Kowloon Walled City or Unsane (Both bands you should check out if you haven't.)

You've also hit the nail on the head. Which is exactly why it's called "Insult"

I'm glad you like it.

to clarify i still think the grey of the asphalt is too bright and takes away from the subject. A diagonal selection gradient with added contrast and sharpening would do wonders.

Love how the dried grass completely cuts one from the other. I like your words even more. It makes sense to me in strange ways.

It might be the fact that I'm on mobile web right now but this is very hard to distingish between the skull and the stone but on the topic of value this is killing it. Was it taken manual or digital?

I know you don't know/care, but it looks like a raccoon or something.

Pretty awesome.
