Tribal Vibrance by Reaper-X Tribal Vibrance by Reaper-X
Another shot from the pow-wow I went to last year with a friend of mine. I'm honestly very clueless about Native American culture, but all of the things I did witness that day were pretty awesome. The vibe of the music and the dancing combined with the big, wide, open space of the area just put me in a nice headspace. I'd definitely go again.

Fancy Dancer!!!!! All Normal Tribal Attire Goes Out The Window for This!!!! Where did you go for the pow Wow!!! It's a Fab Experience..........Kids Competition ( Boys/Girls )...........Then ( Men/Women)..........Fancy Dance/ Traditional Dance. Different Tribes do The Drumming and Chanting-Singing for all the others but That's an important competition too. Good Traditional Foods and Sales of Anything from Jewelry to Drums etc.... too many items to list. I think like Blues and Jazz Music that this is important Americana and well worth going!!!

Native american Culture is really quite interesting. This is by far an amazing shot, I don't think I have ever seen a ceremonial dress that is this colorful. I am guessing this lends in part to modern dyes, fabrics and techniques. Most of the native dress I see around here is more of muted earth tones. Though its all made using traditional tools and methods as well. In part as a right of passage.
